Accessibility of this website: the measures taken, known gaps and how to contact us.
pulsecra aims to make pulsecra.org usable on any device, in any browser and with any assistive technology. This statement sets out what has been done, which shortcomings remain and how to report a problem.
Our commitment
At pulsecra, accessible pages are part of everyday maintenance rather than an extra. Each new page and each change of design is checked so that text stays readable, the menu can be used without a mouse and no information depends on a single visual cue. The statement applies to pulsecra.org only.
Measures taken
Pages use semantic HTML: headings follow one order, lists are marked up as lists, and link texts stay meaningful out of context. Navigation and main content form separate regions, and the language of each page is declared for screen readers. Images that carry information have alternative texts, decorative ones are marked as such.
Text and background colours are combined to reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 for body copy, links and buttons. Because sizes are given in relative units, zooming or increasing the browser font size does not disturb the layout. The website can be operated with a keyboard alone.
Standards
We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. At present this site is only partially conformant: most content satisfies the guidelines, while the points listed below do not. Where a requirement cannot be met immediately, we look for another way of supplying the information.
Known limitations
Several illustrations are generic, and their alternative text names the subject without describing it in detail.

If you encounter a barrier on this website, or cannot obtain information that you require, please inform us by email at hello@pulsecra.org or by telephone on 01452 580 417. It helps if you identify the page, describe what happened and mention the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five working days.

If a page on pulsecra.org does not work for you, the same information is available without the website. Preparation and review
This statement is dated 21 October 2026 and is based on a self-assessment by pulsecra, not on an external audit. We tested the navigation, the contact form and the main page types ourselves with a keyboard, browser zoom and a screen reader, and we review the text once a year and whenever the website is rebuilt.
